1. Brush your teeth at least twice each day.

2. Proper brushing takes at least two minutes.

3. Move the toothbrush back and forth using a rolling motion. Tilt the brush at a 45� angle against the gumline. Up and down also may be required.

Brush the outer surfaces of two to three teeth at a time. Then move to the next group of two to three teeth and repeat. Be gentle. Brushing too hard can injure the gums and make them more susceptible to gum disease.

4. Use the same technique to brush all of your inner tooth surfaces.

5. Tilt the toothbrush vertically to clean the inner part of your front teeth.

6. To clean the chewing surfaces of teeth, put the toothbrush bristles directly on the surface and use a back and forth motion to clean.

7. Bacteria also grow on your tongue. Brush your tongue from front to back to remove bacteria.

8. Clean the outer, inner, and chewing surfaces of your upper teeth and lower teeth.

For fresher breath, be sure to brush your tongue, too. 9. When you are done brushing, spit the extra toothpaste out into the sink. Do not swallow it.

10. Use at leat 20 strokes on each area of teeth and 10 strokes on the tounge. Rinse the toothbrush. Rinse your mouth with water at leat three times. This will take two minutes.
